The preferred bid for Chelsea will be presented to the government and the Premier League on April 18, meaning a change of ownership at the club could take place by the end of next month.

Sky News has learnt a letter sent to the four remaining contenders to buy Chelsea over the weekend indicates the government will be approached to issue a licence enabling the sale during the week of April 18.

The additional detail underlines the speed at which Raine Group, the merchant bank overseeing the sale process, is conducting one of the most hotly contested corporate auctions in sporting history.

Given how long it usually takes to sell a PL club takes this is quite swift

  12. Chelsea are solid. ATM they have a good system and remember although Raine are handling the bid, Bruce and Marina are actually the ones who are will select the final bidders to be presented to the Government.

I will be content with Todd at the club but if the tickets comes in. They will suck the life out of the club and knowing how vocal Chelsea fans are – it could get ugly.

I have to say though this is the most incompetent Government we have had in a generation.

Just so you know Roman will have his day in court – this is a man who has never lost a court case. Hilarious behaviours.
