I like this mate good series

  2. Gerrard, Scholes then Lampard for me. All 3 are quality and would’ve got in any side in the world

you should do a documentary on bodø/glimt on how they got from the second division in norway to round of 16 and beating roma 6-1 at home , and knocking out celtic 5-1 on aggregate in the conference league and two straigt norwiegean titles in in five years.

    Best Attacking Midfielder – Lampard
Best Box to Box Midfielder – Gerrard
    Best Dictating Midfielder – Scholes

I’m really not sure why you didn’t just do a list of Central Midfielders (Number 8’s) instead of ranking everyone as either an Attacking or Defensive Midfielder. Players like Gerrard, Scholes & Toure would’ve fit much better in that list.

  5. Man Bergkamp not even honourable mention a lot of recency bias I see

    VIDEO REQUEST

I've wondered for quite some time what the term "natural" footballer means; When watching some of your videos I hear you describe some players as naturally gifted, and so I'd like to know, and would be curious to see a video about some of the most naturally gifted footballers who are currently playing. OR something like that.

P.S: I remember reading an article on The Guardian that mentioned that Jack Grealish might be the most naturally gifted English player of his generation, ahead of the likes of Raheem Sterling and others. What does this distinction mean? How can a player be more naturally gifted than another yet not be better?

Can you pls make a video of what will happen to ukrainian teams after russia takes over ukraine if it happens

  8. Tyler House dijo:

Goes to show the quality of the premier league that the ‘worst’ player in this 7 is Yaya Toure

  9. Gentle Ken dijo:

Alfie, it is probably just your age but to have no Dennis Bergkamp in here is criminal? He was a number 10, had the 10 shirt, played 315 Premier League games, scored 87 goals. The fact also you have Cesc Fabregas who was at the club for three years with Bergkamp makes it's all the more ridiculous. There was simply no one better than Bergkamp in that number 10 role. He set the tone for the Arsenal team at that time. Ian Wright said he was the best player he'd played with. Disappointing Alfie….disappointing…..

  10. Drezinho dijo:

    Cristiano doesn't make the shortlist?

  11. cjc2008 dijo:

Gerrard has no title deciding moments,…… may I remind you of that infamous slip against Chelsea……

  12. Pjay Bdizer dijo:

Strikers/Forwards will be a problem, 5 already nailed and some great players still left… Henry, Shearer, Kane, Rooney and Aguero

  13. While Lampard and Scholes played for the most successful clubs of their era, thrived under great managers like Ferguson and Morinho, and played with many teammates that are mentioned in these top 7 lists, Gerrard had non of that. Just how many of his teammates at the time are featuring any top x ranking of PL players? And yet he managed to exell and preform to a level that is nowhere under Lampard and Scholes. So maybe he's not the greatest, but for me Gerrard was the best footballer of them.

  14. Pjay Bdizer dijo:

In my opinion, KDB and Yaya Toure over Cesc… then Le Tissier to replace Cesc in the top 7, move Cesc to honourable mentions

  15. Ola dijo:

Attacking wise, scholes wasn’t better than lampard or gerrard
    Creating
    Scoring
    Assisting
And both lamps and gerrard smashes scholes
    Get your facts right please

  16. Derek Gorin dijo:

Is HITC Sevens ranking Bergkamp and Zola as forwards?

  17. By far the worst take in this entire video is including jack wilshere in the honourable mentions

  18. Stefan Links dijo:

    1 Lampard
    2 Gerrard
    3 Scholes

  19. Crazy that 4 out of the 7 are Foreign players

  20. You got this wrong. Gerard should be top of any list. Not his fault the others could not defend.

  21. Arta dijo:

Yaya Toure was so fucking good…

  22. Dele Ali in honarable mentions just turned that list into dishonorable mentions

  23. ARO dijo:

Seriously Scholes is not an attacking midfielder.

  24. Wiz dijo:

    Lampard Man City LEGEND????

  25. MrJoromekiq1 dijo:

Honestly, If I had to choose between Lampard and Gerrard, I would always take Gerrard

  26. Mark Royter dijo:

Why didn’t you just do defensive, hybrid and attacking midfielder?

  27. Aj's Gaming dijo:

you think kvb is better then Lamps hahaha

  28. Evan Browne dijo:

As a Liverpool fan I'm fine with seeing Lampard ahead of Gerrard. But Scholes has to be the most overrated midfielder of all time.

  29. Such a great series. Been waiting for this ep!

  30. cla aebi dijo:

could you make a video about frank lampards one season at man city?

  31. mapkoc dijo:

14:19 "he was also extremely cute and intelligent"??

  32. Nethan Lock dijo:

There's been some unbelievable players grace the PL both the one I miss the most is Frank Lampard. Even at the age of 35 and playing for Man City he was absolutely class and an extremely clever player. I also don't think we have seen nor will we see another midfielder who can score the amount of goals he could.

  33. Cameron dijo:

I am of course biased, but at the same time Gerrard not being no. 1 does hurt my soul. I can understand him and Lampard being switched but I have always thought Scholes was (still an incredible) third place in their mini rankings so to see him top was extremely surprising!

  34. #Crud dijo:

Scholes is the ginger Shelvey. Not close to Lampard or Gerrard

  35. Rude Gullit???? I swear he played as a sweeper or a striker for Chelsea????

  36. No Ryan Giggs. That's messed up
