I love how the joint statement mentions “economic interests of national leagues” before it mentions “the welfare of players”. Quite the collective Freudian slip. Neither side really cares about the players, it’s all about the 💰
Let the war begins. We need to kick FIFA out of football.
Hang on a minute – I'm pretty sure both European Cups being extended, and the introduction of a completely new European competition were not decided by FIFA
I actually think a proper champions league competition – and I'm talking ONLY champions from every country in the world play in a knockout competition would be better than watching what's on offer right now. Seems like UEFA and co are scared their best competitions will never match a world stage event
Everyone getting sued left right and centre
Finally! Protect the players health!
There’s zero justification for the amount of pointless International fixtures being played, but at the same time the Premier League clubs are constantly jetting off to far flung destinations to play “friendlies”. Both need to take a long hard look in the mirror.
The premier league is renowned for having too any games, especially for the top teams…. Insane that they wool now try to point fingers at FIFA
In reality they are ALL as bad as each other, with all parties guiity of saturating the calendar with matches. UEFA is doing it with the expansion of the European competitions like UCL, the clubs too with pointless exhibition tours.
Let’s not forget the warehouse workers who do 60hour weeks without being able to sue their company for abuse of position
Yet clubs travel to to US, Australia for money for pre season,
Fifa just wants to make money they do not care about the players at all.
Klopp and Pep had been saying this for years!!
Club world cup is a joke
Hypocrisy from the premier League they use players for commercial value more than anyone, two faced clowns
AFCON has always been played mid European season
Getting rid of the carabao cup would help. Be like other countries that just have one cup tournament.
Finally, thinking with sense rather than with money
Nice move
It toke them that long to realise what everyone have been saying for years now?
Where was this energy for Uefa or FA literally being the only big league with two domestic competitions. The Fa are a joke
how come no one talking about Man city suing epl for un-lawful business rules, decision suppose to come within two weeks and its been a month now and every single news outlet is silent about it. What a Disgrace of a journalism we have in this apparently free world. SMH
Ok, now we have made our point, now let’s jet off to Australia, HongKong and the United States for pointless pre-season friendlies
Fifa is more corrupt today than it wss under Sepp Blatter
Good job pl but you shold look at your back yard. With fa cup we don’t need carabao cup it just hampers the schedule
