1. My question is what if a club other than the top 6 have a rich owner and invest in the club and buys good player's that wants to compete with top 6. For example another 4 club becomes better and top 6 becomes top 10. Isn't that more competitive and good for football.

  2. I did not expect to be as entertained by this as I was, thanks for breaking it all down for a silly Yank. Keep up the great work, love your content Joe! 👏

  3. I can't really get into millionaires crying about not being allowed to make more millions. <Holds up 2 fingers.>

  4. Thanks I appreciate this video. I hope the Premier League can reign in the commercial income difference. I think there needs to be a division between the sport side and business side to keep the sport competitive. Limiting the spending of commercial income on players seems to be fair both sporting and business wise to me. They still earn themselves the money but stops them from killing the sporting competitiveness.

I think another good step for the Premier League would be to equally distribute broadcast venue no matter who was being televised. The same goes for the domestic cups during each round. Newcastle would be about where the average is.

  5. Help me Joe, what the hell does it mean "they received a points reduction"?

  6. Expel Man City for lack of sportsmanship.

  7. 6:40 They make more money from merchandising, why is that wrong? Income is Income.

  8. This is the most detailed and extraordinarily good video I have seen for some time and I have subscribed. I think that there are some points to be made in addition. There is at present a huge gap between the richest and poorest PL clubs in terms of revenue, those figures being from after the inception of the initial APT rules in 2021. Those rules were tightened in february 2024 and it is this which Man City have taken objection to. However, it is still the case that any club on a given day can beat any other. For instance Brentford-towards-or at- the bottom of the rich table, did the double over City in the 2022/3 season. Following on from that, every commercial sponsor must look to their own balance sheet before deciding on a sponsorship deal, and since these are mostly large internationals, they are highly unlikely to raise sponsorship a great deal higher than that currently paid to the top earning clubs who are from Spain. Many have shareholders to answer to. The PL is assuming that in formulating the latest rules, that non APT sponsors will not themselves be prepared to break the bank in order to have their names on the shirt front. That will or may severely disadvantage the APT clubs. Following on then, Newcastle United, with the richest owners worldwide are going to have to sell players before they can spend money so as to comply with PSR. This seems ridiculous. Man City are alleging in the present proceedings that the rules are actually illegal and not simply anti competitive and are asking the arbitration panel to so rule.

So Manchester City is a one team all-star league? Some anti-competitive behaviors are normally permitted for large pro sports leagues. Manchester City exists within the league, not outside.

    City are accused of fraud.

  12. the tv money should be paid out in an inverted style. the bottom club should get the biggest slice while the title winner should get the smallest amount, like in the nfl where the worst team gets the first pick in the draft.

That's nuts how much they're all losing. I made billions more than them last year 😂

  14. @lilbaz8073 dijo:

Real madrid are more successful than city at the moment.

  15. If your going to have a channel make it factual city have not sued the PL

You're missing the Russian bank run, Joe

  17. The EPL is trying to maintain the status quo. That is ManU, Arsenal, Liverpool, etc are always at the top even though they have huge debts. My team NUFC have the richest owners in the world but are finding it difficult to compete because of this cartel in the EPL. If you think the EPL is doing this to make things competitive you are extremely naive. Talk to people in Newcastle who were taking the EPL to court over the sale in 2021. They have evidence that clubs were colluding with the EPL to stop the takeover.

  18. They are holding my team back with these rules.

  19. The EPL are breaking UK law as far as I can see.

  20. I lost interest in football over 25 years ago. All about money. Totally corrupt and driven by greed. Rich get richer and the smaller clubs will die.
