Arsenal’s greatest hope for winning the league (aside from taking care of business on their end) is Pep’s nonstop chopping & changing of the backline personnel & tactics. It’s been their Achilles all season as much as some don’t want to admit it. Last year City conceded 23 goals over 38 games, they’re currently at 23 GA in 23 games played. That’s not a coincidence.
If Pep embraces sanity, sticks with a back 4 with Ake, Dias, Laporte (Stones when fit) and Walker (maybe Lewis on occasion) then it will be very hard to beat City especially as the attack is looking better. But if he keeps doing what he’s done all season and continues to tinker, they’ll concede more goals and drop more points via draws and straight losses. A lot of the league outcome will depend on what Pep does with his backline from here on out.

I hate this narrative of, “Other teams will be back next season” you lot say this EVERY YEAR!! Arsenal will not stand still, they’re one of the best teams in Europe, last season when they missed out on top 4 people said they’ll never get a better chance and this season they’re fighting for the title.
This Arsenal team isn’t even complete neither is it fully ready yet, with CL football and quality signings. The team goes up another level, and I do think other clubs such as Liverpool will be back but that’ll add to the quality of the league I don’t believe Arsenal fall away at all. I actually think this is the start of something special for Arsenal, they’ll be competing consistently for major honours over the next few seasons alongside City, United Liverpool & Chelsea and maybe Newcastle.
